You come upon a wolf lying in the grass near the base of a tree. He stares up at you, seeming to laugh at you in a friendly, canine sort of way. You reach down to pat him, but pause just before your fingers touch his head when you hear a low growling. He still smiles up at you, and you feel confused for a moment before realizing that the growling isn't coming from him, but from behind him. You look up to see a snarling, blood-smattered female wolf. Right behind her is another wolf, who stares at you intently. Whoa, maybe it's time to retreat...
