Averik & Tessa's Place

You notice two small but colorful eggs nestled in the warm sands near the river. You walk over and stare down at them. Silvanon joins you. "These are my Century Drake eggs," she tells you. "The purple will be a male named Averik, and the tan will be a female named Tessa. They should hatch in a little while. They're both from Century Drake Adoptions.

Just then the eggs begin to rock. Slowly at first, and then with more violence they move and shiver. Then, with a resounding crack both eggs split simultaneously.

Two small heads emerge, blinking in the sunlight. You look at them in surprise, wondering how they managed to fit inside their eggs.

The two babies eventually work themselves out of their shells. Silvanon becomes absorbed in caring for the new arrivals, and after awhile you sneak away so as not to disturb her.

A While Later...

You return to the section of the meadow where you last saw the two century dragons, and find that they have grown into adults.

They bob their heads at you as you approach, and call out in chorus, "Sella Li, traveler!"

They both frown a bit at you. Then Averik says, "Do we know you from somewhere?"

"Um, well, I was there when you hatched," you reply.

"Ah, that must be it," says Tessa, nodding her head. She blinks deliberately, and says, "Averik is currently looking for a mate. If you know of anyone, drop us a line. I myself am spouse to the wonderful Staren. He and I are the parents of Clutch number four." Tessa blushes and ducks her head. Then she looks up. "Oh, would you like to see our scrapbooks?"
